The Lazarette is the name of the stores in the old days of sail, where the Bosun kept his coils of rope and tools. On our boat, we keep our mooring lines and other ropes in the lazarette, so we thought it was a good name for a knot tying business! (Although, tradition says the only rope on a boat is the bell rope!)
