This nautically knotted tie is ideal for any coastal styled room, or rustic country cottage.
We have named after our favourite Cornish fishing village, St. Mawes, a beautiful anchorage in an Easterly.
The approximate dimensions are total length 840 mm (33 inches) and the diameter of the monkey fist knot is 65 mm (2.5 inches). The rope used is 6 mm poly hemp. This rope is used on classic boats as it resembles traditional rope.
It is easy to use this tie back, you put the centre of the tie back on your usual hook, then feed the ball through the loop. Using the sliding turks head knot you can make the loop large or small, depending how you want it to look. A turks head knot is at the end of of the loop to decoratively stop the sliding knot coming straight off. You can wrap the end around a couple of times before feeding the ball through for a different look or if it is a curtain away from a wall or hook.
Curtain ties are not recommended for nurseries or where young children are not supervised.
