This jute rope light pull would look great in any room, coastal style bathroom, rustic country kitchen, or beach home.

The neutral tone and natural texture complements most home colour palettes.

We have tied a monkey fist knot, with two splices, both techniques have been used by sailors for centuries. We have created this light pull from high quality 6 mm jute rope.

The spliced eye is a neat way of finishing the end and also it is easy to tie the original light cord to. This rope is too thick to fix inside a light switch, so it has to be attached to the thin line, by a knot. or a split ring.

If using as another type of pull, I can supply marine shackles in stainless steel or galvanised steel as an alternative. It could be used for pulling a door to, or a blind pull. It is very heavy duty compared to the normal type of light pull.

In the past the monkey fist knot with a weight inside was added to the end of a line, so when thrown it would be more accurate and go farther. This one has a very light ball inside instead.

Care Instructions

Jute rope is best kept clean by vacuuming, and if necessary, it can be wiped with a damp sponge, and left to dry naturally. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

Natural ropes slacken in warm weather, and tighten in the cold and damp.
